Arches

I recently had the opportunity to travel to one of my favorite places in the West: Arches National Park. It had been ten years since I last traveled there, and it was just as spectacular as I remembered it – though my camera equipment has evolved a bit during that time. It was a perfect trip with lovely weather, blue skies, and ever beautiful sculpted sandstone. The textures and colors of the rock out there never cease to amaze me.

On a Personal Note

Life has been busy, and consequently I haven’t been behind my camera as much as I would like over the past year. However, life always seems to have a way of bringing things back around for you. My wife and I are expecting a baby this summer, and I’ve found reason to start capturing images again to document this wonderful and transitional point in our lives. This is a selection from a couple maternity sessions we’ve done over the past two months – it’s amazing how far along she is already!

Molly & Nate | Steamboat Springs

A couple weeks ago, my friends Nate & Molly got hitched in the beautiful town of Steamboat Springs. The wedding was held on a day with with lots of sunshine and blue skies at the town’s botanical gardens near the Yampa River. A western theme and a bicycle built for two made for an incredibly fun and memorable day to photograph. Here’s wishing you two the best – Congratulations!

Santa Fe #36

I’ve been to South Fork, Colorado quite a few times over the years, and the personality of this old train car has always fascinated me. When I was there about a year ago, I finally took the time to get a few shots of it. I hope it’s there to grace the tracks of South Fork for years to come.

Elvis Lives

That’s right, Elvis lives… in a modern cover band. The Graceland Ninjaz have created a brilliant mix of music using current and classic songs overlaid with the vocal stylings of Elvis. I had the opportunity to photograph this highly energetic and talented group of musicians earlier this year, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. You can catch them playing around the Dallas / Ft Worth area in Texas, and they are playing a New Years Eve show at the House of Blues in Dallas – an amazing spectacle to see. You can find more details about them and hear a few teases at www.gracelandninjaz.com
